This is a rebuilding service offered by Corvette Salvage for a C3 to C4 EPROM Chip.

Body and trim: Base, Collector’s Edition

An EPROM (Erasable Programmable Read-Only Memory) chip on a C3 or C4 Corvette is an electronic component that stores and controls the engine's fuel injection system.

In a C3 or C4 Corvette, the EPROM chip is located in the Electronic Control Module (ECM), which controls various engine functions, such as fuel injection, ignition timing, and emission control. The EPROM chip contains pre-programmed data that controls these functions, and it can be removed and replaced with a different chip to modify the engine's performance characteristics.

The EPROM chip is also known as a "tuning chip" or "performance chip," and it can improve the Corvette's horsepower, torque, and overall performance. Modifying the fuel and ignition settings stored in the chip can optimize the engine for better performance, increased fuel efficiency, or a combination of both.

However, modifying the EPROM chip can be a complex process. It should only be done by experienced mechanics or tuning professionals familiar with the specific requirements of the Corvette's engine and fuel injection system. Additionally, any modifications made to the EPROM chip may affect the car's emissions compliance and should be done by applicable regulations.
