Under certain light-throttle conditions, the factory CAGS (Computer Aided Gear Selection) system can force a 1-to-4 shift by blocking upshifts from 1st to 2nd or 3rd, while also illuminating the 1–4 shift light on the instrument panel. If you’ve driven a 6-speed 1997–2013 Corvette, you’ve probably felt it, usually at the worst possible time, when you need 2nd gear the most.

What it does

CAGS-SKIP eliminates the skip-shift function so you can make every shift however and whenever you want.

How it works

Through a simple device that plugs into the underhood fuse panel, CAGS-SKIP reliably and safely modifies the PCM-to-skip-shift solenoid circuit. This eliminates the skip-shift function while also helping prevent the generation of error codes. In other words, your car thinks nothing has changed, but you’ll never feel the factory CAGS system again.

Note about the 1–4 shift light (C6)

Due to changes in the 2005+ C6 skip-shift circuitry, an easy under-hood method to disable the 1–4 shift light is not available. CAGS-SKIP removes the skip-shift lockout, but the 1–4 shift light may still illuminate.
