05-13 Corvette C6 Gen 1 Headlight and Taillight Kit

Headlights

No Substitutes

Yeah the projector headlights that came on the C6 Vette's were modern back in 2005, but by today's standards - their light output is dated and it's hard to argue the modern appeal of the C7's full LED setup! Thankfully the new Morimoto XB LED headlights: Look great. Are well-built. Have a virtually infinite life span. An unbeatable warranty, and out-perform the alternatives. They are the first and last aftermarket option that the C6 Corvette Community needs, because when it comes to headlights: there is nowhere else to upgrade from here.

Performance

We've always been blown away by the fact that even though the C6 came from the factory with OEM HID headlights, the performance was sub-par. The low quality optics inside the lights were not only poorly designed to begin with, but often lose 50% or more of their intensity over time due to de-lamination of the reflector bowl inside - leaving you with next to no light output to illuminate the road. The good news is that Morimoto's 2005-2013 Corvette headlights produce a well defined beam pattern with a great amount of width, intensity, and a proper distribution of light that will far out-perform even the C7's more modern setup.

DOT Approved

Make no mistake, these will produce a much different [better] result than slapping some LED replacement bulbs into your stock housings. Their projector optics meet & exceed all SAE, DOT, and FMVSS108 regulations when aimed properly... and that's easy to do with their integrated vertical/lateral adjusters.

Plug-n-Play

Wiring is easy too! This LED projector headlight kit is designed to work on your C6 Vette without any modifications. They will plug into the factory connectors for the stock headlights and each assembly includes all necessary connectors, rubber seals, and pigtails for a plug n play install. No error codes, no flickering, hyper-flashing, or radio interference. They can easily be removed, and will not void your factory warranty.

Sequential LED DRL

Game Changer! Their LED daytime running light is powered by Osram 5000K LEDs and is insanely bright, easily visible during the day. They have a fully sequential LED turn signal behind modern "3D" type optics on the outside edge of the headlight too.

Well-Built

Their UV-coated polycarbonate lens will resist the test of time, ensuring your Vette's new headlights will look good as new for many years to come. The PPS plastic housing is light-weight and much stronger than comparable alternatives. The die-cast aluminum heat-sinks inside the housings provide more than an adequate amount of cooling for the OEM grade Osram LED chips that produce the light. These complete headlights may be new to the market, but Morimoto's XB LED fog lights have proven themselves perfect after 5+ years out now, which is confidence inspiring.

They Look

Amazing. At least in our opinion! The subtle elements incorporated in their design are more than enough to make them stand out, but they're clean enough to be considered top of the line original equipment to those who don't know any better. All in all, styling that closely resembles the C7 headlights - making these the best way to facelift your C6.

Tail Lights

Corvette: There is something to be said about a Corvette with four oval tail lights. A timeless look that makes the C7 and C8 owners jealous... but, while they got the shape just right, the OEM tail lights on the C6 are still based on incandescent bulbs from the 80s and have become prone to cracking due to age. It's time to do something about that. As long as the rear-end of your Vette is the only thing that everybody sees as you fly by, it might as well look good as good as it sounds, right?

Compatible

these are a direct bolt-on fitment for all C6 Chevrolet Corvettes from 2005-2013 including the coupe and convertible. They use all of the stock mounting points, and should not take more than an hour to install all four tail lights and wire them up. Plug n Play: The Corvette C6 Gen II tail lights from Morimoto are designed to work without any modifications. These LED tail lights will plug into the factory connectors for the stock lights on all 2005.5-2013* US-spec cars, and do not need any extra resistors, modules, or adapters for a completely plug n play, error-free install. *See compatibility notes for early 2005 cars.

Style: Certainly more modern than the factory units, but without being over the top. The red lens model looks especially natural on the car and could truly pass for original-equipment, while the fully smoked version offers a more aggressive and even more modern look.

Functions

The optical light pipe that highlights the outside perimeter of each light acts as a low intensity parking light, a high intensity brake light (red) as well as the turn signal. Surrounding the rear reflex reflector, the center of each light is a high-intensity reverse light (white), which is also plug n play with your factory reverse light circuit. The integrated reverse lights provide a massive boost in rearward visibility over the stock setup too!

Well-Built

The durable polycarbonate lens has been UV treated, and will resist the test of time, keeping the housings looking new for many years to come. All wiring and connections are OE grade. The price is justified, and as the saying goes: you pay for what you get. These tail lights are built to exceed OEM quality and should easily last the life of your beloved Corvette.
