Steps to Program

1. Start by sitting in the driver’s seat and ensure all doors, windows, and the trunk are closed. Place both Key Fob #1 and #2 on the passenger seat.

2. Using the Driver Information Center (DIC), navigate to the “REMOTE KEY LEARN” option. Once selected, the DIC will show a message saying, “READY for REMOTE #N,” where N represents the following key fob number to be programmed.

3. Place the new key fob into the Backup Transmitter/Key Fob Pocket near the cupholder (see Figure 1) with the mechanical key end facing up.

4. Press the ENGINE START/STOP button.

5. When the smart key is learned, the Driver Information Center (DIC) will display “READY for REMOTE #N,” where N represents the following key fob number to be programmed.

6. To complete programming, remove the key fob from the Backup Transmitter/Key Fob Pocket and press either the LOCK or UNLOCK button. To program additional key fobs, follow steps 3 to 6 again.

7. After programming all the extra key fobs, hold the ENGINE START/STOP button for 12 seconds to exit the programming mode.
